A Word to the Wise

What does the future hold for those who know the Lord Jesus as their Savior?

The Bible mentions many things such as eternal life, a home in heaven, a glorified body, and the wonderful promise of being with the Lord Jesus forever. We take these promises by faith and greatly rejoice in them. Still, there are promises that we cannot really imagine. They are far beyond what any Christian can possibly imagine. Yes, there is the promised beauty of heaven such as the fruit of the trees, the streets of gold and so much more. Yet, there is more! The Apostle Paul wrote, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, not ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him” (I Cor. 2:9). If one just looks and considers what God has created this earth to be, it is beyond what anyone can take in except in part. The beauty of the earth, the creation of man and all his intricacies, the animal kingdom, and the glory and magnitude of space of space is way beyond man’s ability to comprehend except in part. It is a wonderful blessing just to meditate upon what God hath created for the believer’s future! Faith in God and the gift of His Son opens doors to a future that is wonderfully incomprehensive but is eagerly looked forward to.
