Sgt. Jake McAbee honored with Life Saving Award

“On the 7th day of August, 2019 at about 9:20 p.m. calls came into the St. Croix County dispatch center where Sgt. McAbee responded to an address in the Village of Baldwin Dispatch had received a couple 911 hang ups. Sgt. McAbee responded quickly to find a female on the floor in her bedroom. The female had to be re-position to an area where CPR could be administered. Sgt. McAbee started CPR and EMS was informed of the Sgt’s actions. When EMS arrived a short time later, one shock from an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) was administered to the patient, her heart beat resumed, and she survived. Without the quick actions of both police and EMS, this situation could have resulted in a much different outcome. I would like to say congratulations and thank you to Sgt. McAbee for a job well done.” – Baldwin Police Chief, Darren Krueger
