BALDWIN—Free native trees! Free pollinator-friendly plants! Free Culver’s frozen custard! (As long as supplies last.) Celebrate being outside and helping the environment at our event on Thursday, August 20th, anytime between 4:00 and 7:00 pm on the Baldwin Library lawn.
Master Gardeners Debby and Wendy will show how to start a little garden to attract and support very important bees, butterflies, and birds, and then give you a few free plants to get started. They are also giving out trees that are native to this area so your yard can support local wildlife that depends on them. Enjoy a cool treat from Culver’s too, individually packaged for safety.
Kids can do a fun activity with Cheetos “Pollen” and dance with the bubble machine also! In case of rain we will move under the front entrance roof.
Thanks for generous grants from The St. Croix Valley Master Gardeners Association to the library and from the Wisconsin Garden Club Federation to the Botany Belles and Beaus for making this event possible. Thanks to Culver’s Restaurant for their support of many library activities.
